Rediscovering Myself with Meditation and Yoga

Hello Readers

It has been long time to share my random thoughts here.Thoughts are like constant waves of ocean inside mind but i was not getting time off to systematically write them here .

Well just to tell some history behind this post i want to admit i used to be a fitness freak who watches everything she eats or drinks, who never want a day passed without workout.I maintained my this passion from the early days of teenage when i was excelling in team sports, running and Yoga.Well Yoga was never my forte but it was kind of mandatory routine to do Yoga twice a week.I silently followed without asking anything, exploring more or rebelling against.

Time passed,Sports became my constant companion but with removal of that mandatory bar ,Yoga eloped from my routine.I became a gym freak in my mid-20s and half marathoner later on.It's not true that i left Yoga at all,but i preciously killed the essence and started doing my own tailored 10 min Yoga program (which i never enjoyed).I maintained my fitness level pretty well, some time OFF and the ON but things were going well until preciously 11 month back.

June 2012 i got married with my Lifetime Boyfriend.New life started happily.Just to inform even he is a fitness conscious guy.But  with time we grow too busy in novelty, family and travel and thus became sloppy towards our fitness routine. With my dresses getting out of fit and face looking chubby i tried hard to get back into routine.Somehow got back too but irregularity persisted  i.e. doing twice a week, sometimes gym, sometimes running, sometimes cycling.Cut the long story short, nothing helped and we kept loading weight.

Two weeks back we came back from Andaman Trip, rejuvenated, happy and fresh. We made some promises there, swearing on that mighty Indian Ocean that enough slackness has been done now it's time to get back on routine.Coming back to Hyderabad i started with my long lost mandatory companion Yoga(point to note here- i had already tried on Gym for past 2 months and my running routine for 6 months. Alas! nothing could get me regularity and discipline essential for fitness so i thought Yoga also deserves a fair amount to trial).

Well it has been just 2 weeks and i am feeling the magic of Yoga. This time i didn't kill it's soul and not doing my tailored version but following exactly given in Ancient books or what Baba Ramdev teaches :).I am not an expert on this but i am sharing exactly what i am experiencing and which is motivating me daily to get up at 5 Am,cooking healthy food for both of us and do Yoga with rising sun .I am also meditating whenever getting time alone. So here are my experiences:

MEDITATION:
1.Feeling mentally much relaxed.
2.Improving the ability to go to the core of the problem and solve them.
3.Understanding the futility of  problems.
4.Staying happy,young and energetic.
5.All negative feeling like anger, envy, hatred are reducing drastically.
6.Forgiveness increasing
7.Mentally much stable and confident for everything.

YOGA:
1.Feeling much toned and healthy
2.Junk food craving has nullified
3.Living habits stabilized(early to bed-early to rise)
4.Positive mood and feeling lighter

As i have already mentioned i am practicing it for last 2 weeks so it is too early to hype about acceleration of weight loss or body toning and getting Bikini abs etc.But above mentioned things are the very immediate feeling i started experiencing from the day one and actually that was the biggest driving reason every morning and evening to do Yoga.Thankfully i am back to the consistency of  fitness routine.I am not yet back to my best shape but yes moving forward fast.
