Movie Review-Raanjhanaa & Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

Hello Readers

Finally Thursday came and just another day for week-end.

Well to me this whole week did not seem working days because
1.I took leave on Monday(had Sunday stretched party)
2.Wednesday was my anniversary so again escaped from office
3.Tomorrow i am going for camping after first half so again it's a partial leave for me.

Anyways this post is preciously for movie review(After watching Raanjhanaa if found it unjust to not write about it)

1.Raanjhana-my rating 4.6/5
Superb acting by everyone(but Dhanush will steal your heart),amazing story-line with synchronized twists and hurdles,
very good direction. You will love to watch Sonam Kapoor finally acting who looked equally beautiful in those simple kurtas. One thing to enjoy most - Dialogues purely natural, you can't stop laughing. You will love how movie taking pace from superb comedy to serious note.No JABARDASTI happy ending.Loved the movie. It's a must watch.

2.Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani- My rating is 4/5

I watched this movie at very next day it was released. It was overly hyped movie due to star cast and amazing music.
To me movie was good but nothing excellent. I am a travel freak and a part of movie took inspiration from travel but i still felt it was not that realistic.Acting was good from everyone (though i felt Aditya Roy Kapoor was a time waster,no sense coming out from his role and acting).Small punches from Kalki was mind lasting.Overall OK to me.

I am still looking forward for few good movies on Que
1.Bhag Milkha Bhag-Trailers looks promising particularly for an athlete like me :)
2.Lootera-Well i was not that excited about this movie until yesterday when i saw its full trailer in theater.I have really grown curious about this one now.

So that's all for now.

Happy Week-end and Happy Blogging.

Facts behind Big Beauty Giants-one observation

Dear ReadersMonsoon has arrived all over India.Enjoying new green look of mother earth?Well i am kind of rain loving person but continuous drizzling made everything too damp and i am really loving living cozy inside blanket most of the time with door open, letting chilling wind passing through the plateau behind our place and entering in our home.Thinking of going outside is our agenda only when we are sure this pre-rain era will last for longer,we go out, enjoy ride. You must be thinking why I am giving lots of meteorological details and heading of my blog has no resemblance with that?Well i am coming to the point.

This Saturday i decided to go to beauty parlor with big name, fame and not to mention charges.I usually avoid this.I better save this money for my trips but this time i just decided to take risk and even bigger reason is i bought a very cheap deal from Groupon for all the services in around 25% price of its total worth.
So i booked the appointment for Saturday early morning and headed to the venue.

First thing first
1.It was a dazzling,glamorized place.
2.Pictures of perfectly beautiful models made you feel little.
3. Airconditioned individual cabin with contemporary interior and lightning will allure you(in my case i was extremely happy that i bought this deal else instead of enjoying these beauties i would have speculating how much there are going to charge me for these allurements ;))

So after waiting for 5 min they took me to the cabin,i changed and relaxed as instructed.
First thing they analyzed my body and skin. Then So-Called expert told me my neck and face skin has difference in color (what i had never noticed before this vary moment) and she insisted i should go for skin polish. Then she notified me my texture is uneven and she named few treatment for various sittings.I remained adamant for not buying any more services except those already included in deal.

Just seconds before this conversation i believed myself a person with very healthy and glowing akin without make-up and in minutes i was forced to see so many flaws all over me.

So the conclusion is how these beauty industry work?
First they will make you believe that there are many flaws in your texture/skin/hair beyond you can ever think your own. Then they insist you there beauty therapy and products are going to do magic and remove your flaw(which will never happen). We all women have that deep rooted wish of looking beautiful. They know our weakness and they strike right on that soft place.

I am certainly not against taking these products and services but only wish to say Be aware, don't totally jump into their trap.Use your conscious to decide how you are gonna spend your hard earned money.None of their offerings are going to do magic and but just temporary patch work. They love your bucks as much as you do but choice is always yours.Spend wisely.Do continuous care for your hair/skin at home which will be certainly better that that one hour work in parlor.Stay healthy, eat right, maintain best level of cleanliness and personal hygiene and always wear your confident smile. That will make you much beautiful i believe.....

Stay Happy...
Happy Blogging

P.S. First 2 pictures i have taken in that beauty centre. Third picture is mine, taken a day before in natural night and no photoshop. Please Help me find out the difference in texture in my skin as pointed by those So Called-Beauty Experts. :)

Memories of Old Golden Days

Hello Friends

How are you doing in this scorching cruel heat of summer?
I am a travel freak for rest of the season but summer kept me grounded at home.Well i have mentioned before i live in outskirt of Hyderabad,a place which resembles more to a village than a metropolitan.I particularly love this place for many reason.I doubt if anybody interested here but i am adamant to write down the reasons.

1.I get generous amount of clean air, water and sunlight free of cost.
2.Minimal noise pollution and small population in the vicinity allows me to live with more open space.
3.No and never a traffic to our workplace.Me and hubby reach our respective office taking outer ring road thus eliminating any intrusion into the city traffic.
4.Beautiful landscape-what i see from my front gallery is open plain which grows rocky after a kilometer.View from by rear gallery is a small plateau which nestles a mosque and a ruined fort like structure. That can make your morning delighted (Alas!recent construction on neighborhood blocked the view to half way)
5.This place fuels my childhood memories almost everyday-Here i feel like giving explanation is necessary.
I basically belong to small village of  Chattisgarh. A place which still dwells on cultivation and farming. You can get fresh vegetables at your doorstep even today. You can still run on river bed when river is dry on summer and jump into river for splash whenever you wish. You can still steal mango, pear,Indian plum etc from the farms.this was my early childhood and 2 months of summer for next 7 years of boarding school.I miss that time badly. They still seam most precious and moment when i can say i was 100% alive.I certainly do not complain for life i am living today but i do admit it has changed a lot. Coming back to living at this particular place gives opportunity to see those childhood phenomena still happening around.Yesterday i went to the terrace for doing Yoga and i spotted bunch of kids sleeping on neighboring terrace.I was immediately taken to my childhood days when i used to come for summer vacation from boarding school and sleep on roof with my two sibling, mostly remain awake in nights, sharing stories, watching moon and a lot more.Gone are those summer holidays. Those carefree days of 2 months.

This morning me and hubby going outside in our car when i saw village people dressed in their best attire and make up with their luggage walking for bus. That used to be a scene of everyday in summer holiday.Mom with kids used to go to their Grannie's place.Today working Mom do not have that many leaves in hand so kids spend their holiday in summer camp, swimming, dance and Karate Classes.I do not want to judge about right and wrong for these changes but often give a thought how it's gonna be when i will be a mother. With some questions, still in the thought of those old golden days.

Thinking Summer

Hello Readers

It's been a while since last post.So today is Monday, inertia of week-end is still working on me and if one thing i am feeling right now is fleeing from office(ALAS! i have high tech security system installed here and had pretty rigid policy about time off :() .So i decided ti write this post.Title may appear irrelevant but in this scorching heat here in Hyderabad i am really missing relatively soothing summer end we have spent on God's Own Coutry-Kerala, last year. That was actually beginning of Monsoon and trust me Kerala look heavenly in new green attire ans cascades running down through those green giants.

Life has become slow paced an deadly summer of Hyderabad.Planning to go somewhere out is last thing comes in mind.I am hearing the same story from my native place daily. How is summer at your place?

Here are some pics taken in our trip to Kerala at the end of the summer last year.I still miss the splendid sunset we enjoyed in houseboat sailing on backwaters of Allepy(Kerala).

If still not been to houseboat of Allepy give it a chance this time.Living 24 hours in houseboat sailing here and there on backwaters will be memories for lifetime.

Rediscovering Myself with Meditation and Yoga

Hello Readers

It has been long time to share my random thoughts here.Thoughts are like constant waves of ocean inside mind but i was not getting time off to systematically write them here .

Well just to tell some history behind this post i want to admit i used to be a fitness freak who watches everything she eats or drinks, who never want a day passed without workout.I maintained my this passion from the early days of teenage when i was excelling in team sports, running and Yoga.Well Yoga was never my forte but it was kind of mandatory routine to do Yoga twice a week.I silently followed without asking anything, exploring more or rebelling against.

Time passed,Sports became my constant companion but with removal of that mandatory bar ,Yoga eloped from my routine.I became a gym freak in my mid-20s and half marathoner later on.It's not true that i left Yoga at all,but i preciously killed the essence and started doing my own tailored 10 min Yoga program (which i never enjoyed).I maintained my fitness level pretty well, some time OFF and the ON but things were going well until preciously 11 month back.

June 2012 i got married with my Lifetime Boyfriend.New life started happily.Just to inform even he is a fitness conscious guy.But  with time we grow too busy in novelty, family and travel and thus became sloppy towards our fitness routine. With my dresses getting out of fit and face looking chubby i tried hard to get back into routine.Somehow got back too but irregularity persisted  i.e. doing twice a week, sometimes gym, sometimes running, sometimes cycling.Cut the long story short, nothing helped and we kept loading weight.

Two weeks back we came back from Andaman Trip, rejuvenated, happy and fresh. We made some promises there, swearing on that mighty Indian Ocean that enough slackness has been done now it's time to get back on routine.Coming back to Hyderabad i started with my long lost mandatory companion Yoga(point to note here- i had already tried on Gym for past 2 months and my running routine for 6 months. Alas! nothing could get me regularity and discipline essential for fitness so i thought Yoga also deserves a fair amount to trial).

Well it has been just 2 weeks and i am feeling the magic of Yoga. This time i didn't kill it's soul and not doing my tailored version but following exactly given in Ancient books or what Baba Ramdev teaches :).I am not an expert on this but i am sharing exactly what i am experiencing and which is motivating me daily to get up at 5 Am,cooking healthy food for both of us and do Yoga with rising sun .I am also meditating whenever getting time alone. So here are my experiences:

MEDITATION:
1.Feeling mentally much relaxed.
2.Improving the ability to go to the core of the problem and solve them.
3.Understanding the futility of  problems.
4.Staying happy,young and energetic.
5.All negative feeling like anger, envy, hatred are reducing drastically.
6.Forgiveness increasing
7.Mentally much stable and confident for everything.

YOGA:
1.Feeling much toned and healthy
2.Junk food craving has nullified
3.Living habits stabilized(early to bed-early to rise)
4.Positive mood and feeling lighter

As i have already mentioned i am practicing it for last 2 weeks so it is too early to hype about acceleration of weight loss or body toning and getting Bikini abs etc.But above mentioned things are the very immediate feeling i started experiencing from the day one and actually that was the biggest driving reason every morning and evening to do Yoga.Thankfully i am back to the consistency of  fitness routine.I am not yet back to my best shape but yes moving forward fast.

Why do i shop online?

Hello Readers

I am not fully aware about popularity of online shopping in India neither do i am trying to analyse it.
I am not a shopaholic (though many people around me exclaims that loudly) but i admit i do shop online quite frequently. If you have not yet shopped online, here is the Pros & Cons

PROS
1.If you are buying things from reputed sites(my trustworthy sites for household essentials are flipkart.com,homeshop18.com and for cloths and fashion accessories jabong.com,myntra.com) you can be rest assured about authenticity of the product. On top of that delivery is really quick,of-course if you are not looking it for same day evening party.
2.Collection is really very wide particularly if you have similar opinion as i have.Cloths in shopping mall is outdated, restricted to few types only and literally stinks. The day i have started shopping online i hate going to mall.
3.Well if you are smart shopper that means being little good in maths you can really save good amount shopping using coupons.
4.Most of the item you get in lower price than the physical shopping.
5.It saves time, particularly if you use only unproductive hours of your working or non-working hour.
6.It saves your fuel, parking fee, unnecessarily overpriced junk-food (this point is valid only if you are not in the category of people those fun and happiness exist in visiting and spending time in mall.If you take a person like me who resides 30 km away from nearest shopping mall, avoid all junk-food and hate crowd at all cost, online shopping is a boon :) )

CONS
1.Kill time.Be watchful else you will spend lots of time browsing daily for hours.
2.Spend more money if addicted.Be aware this habit can be addictive and contagious.Keep watch of your need else
every time you will be tempted to shop.
3.Full of hassle if you are not aware of your body size.Well every individual have different body size, not everyone has proportioned body to fit into categorised size, particularly size varies with brand too.
4.Sometime may get unauthenticated product.Though this problem is not associated with reputed sites but you never know sometime hard-luck may take it.

My Recommendations:

*For electronic gadgets, personnel care, home appliances i found flipkart is the winner though price is little costlier than others. You can still spend for their good service.
*For cloths and fashion - ethnic wear collection is better in Jabong.com but for trendy wear myntra wins the show.Another benefit is Myntra is a bit cheaper and offers are abundant as compare to Jabong but myntra.com website really sucks so choice is your.
*For containers, lunch box,and other small home needs i felt homeshop18.com is cheapest and best.

Whatever mentioned above is as per my personnel experience other individual may have their own opinion.Never do shopping blind eyed, calculate your need, realize you want, make a deadline for expenses you will never cross per month and shop smartly.
Hope my review and advice will help.Have a happy shopping.

Please give your valuable feedback if it helps.
